The MIT Museum presents temporary and permanent exhibitions at the nexus of art, science, and technology, as well as events, programs, and weekend demonstrations. People from around the world come to visit and learn about holograms, kinetic art, artificial intelligence and original research that has shaped the world. FebFest and the Cambridge Science Festival fill winter and spring school vacation weeks, while the very fun "Friday After Thanksgiving" chain reaction event is held nearby at an MIT gymnasium, while produced by the Museum. The MIT Museum also has a physical and online science-themed store, and the galleries are available for small functions. Located in the Central Square Cultural District the MIT Museum is surrounded by unique restaurants, theaters, music venues and a renowned local ice cream store. Look for our yellow chairs!

I expected to see the technology evolution over the time, instead I saw just a simple collection that wasn't impressive enough to support the MIT name.

I'm so glad we decided to go here. This place is amazing. Great interactive exhibits and creativity. My kids loved it! I would recommend it for older kids and adults. Lots of information and great price!

Majority of artifacts on display are from rotating artists. Real genuine MIT displays are limited to hologram room and one room with some robotics machine. You are easily thru in about an hour.

The MIT museum is not what the title suggests. It is an exhibition of some of the things students created. It costs $10 and is two or three rooms. Tiny. Not worth it.

This museum was so incredibly awesome that it scares me! I feel like the plot to "Terminator" is unfolding at a slightly slower pace, haha. These engineers are incredible, and the work they are performing is mind-blowing. You can think of most modern technological advancements...More

I teach 9th grade physical science/earth science and geometry. This museum is geared for younger students. The hands on activities were fun but again 6th graders would be a more appropriate audience.
