Fantastic 2.5 mile trail for walking, running or bike riding. A great place for young children to learn to ride a bike. Great for spotting animals with kids and a lovely play area on site. My kids love watching the dogs swim at 'dog pond'....More

I come here every evening to let my dog play off leash. Beware of the park ranger if your off-leash pup hasn't got a Cambridge dog license. The place used to be a lot more attuned to the needs of residents and still offers a...More

Just a few steps off Concord Avenue with its heavy traffic is this delightful place to escape the traffic. I'm not sure where you can park because only Cambridge residents are allowed to use the parking lot. There's a two-mile walk around the reservoir, a...More

People from around Cambridge and beyond come to this 2+ mile trail around Fresh Pond. We walk, ride bikes, walk dogs, run, and whatever comes to mind. It is a respite amidst busy lives and distraction. Nice spot.

If you love dogs, this is the place to go: it is one of the only public spaces where Cambridge dogs can go off-leash (sorry, dogs from neighboring towns are leash-bound, although I believe they can still swim at the designated dog beach). If you...More

A perfect place with great views. The walk around the pond is about two miles and really enjoyable.Lots of people walking their well behaved dogs and enjoying themselves. A real gem.

Great place to walk or run to get fit. I usually just like to stroll around the lake, it's also on the way to buy groceries. Try to get there while there is sunlight, it gets creepy when it's completely dark.

We stayed at a friend's place nearby for two weeks. Took our dog here every day. A wonderful community asset and off-leash area for dogs.

Many dog walkers, runner and bikers. Great for spotting birds, and make sure you take time to visit Blacks Nook-- the flowers and plants are wonderful!

I wouldn't go out of my way to come here... For being a reservation, there are a lot of fences, almost claustrophobic feeling. Also kind of hard to get to and into with all the fences.

Parking is street parking and scarce. I often shop around there and leave my car in one of those lots while I walk the pond.

Yes, but there are no picnic tables just benches in a few spots or you can find an open space to put a blanket. Just be aware that Cambridge dogs are allowed off-leash in some areas. They are usually well-behaved, but... More
