From the visitor center go a few blocks to the Mills Girls and Immigration Exhibit. Better signage would be appreciated, though there was a park staff person to do some explaining. Thanks to the park service for making the information about the working girls lives...More

Learned so much about Lowell from the wonderful exhibits. Nicely presented plus the park rangers were generous with historical facts and stories. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

TheLowell National Historical Park Visitor Center is good place to start a tour of Lowell. The center has some permanent displays, and plenty of information. Canal and other tours start across the street.

Visited the Visitor Center in December 2016, having no expectations. Found most helpful staff and information about the city, the canals, mills, Jack Kerouac. Left the place with more knowledge than when I stepped in :-)
