This wouldn't be this high of a rating if it wasn't for a small beach nearby. The "big" part of Cala Cipolla didn't have clear water and was very overcrowded. While the small beach I visited nearby was superb. It had crystal clear water and a lot of rocks to dive (Around 3 to 6 meters high).
Expected more, but still had a great time.

Another great beach on the Chia shore, you can use the same parking of Su Giudeu beach, and walk past a small green hill, the sight is wonderfull and the water is great.
The only drawback is that there isn't any wind, therefore it gets very very hot, not as enjoyable as on other beaches but surely worth a visit (moreover, in case it's too hot for you Su Giudeu is a short walk away).

beautiful small beach, cristal clear water. you park your car a bit before the small hill, climb up and down and crossing small bushes on your left you'll reach this nice little beach. if you are early you can find some shadow around the beach under these threes.

Cloudy water and military green on yellow. The effect is to swim in the Tiber. Be wary of images that have definitely been modified in the colors of the sea. The surrounding vegetation is typical of the coves of Sardinia. It was a real disappointment.

cala cipolla, located at the costa del sud near chia is one of the nicest beaches in that area. in relation to the most of the other beaches, which are very big and wide with lagoons in the back, cala cipolla is small and framed by big rocks and steepcoast. the fine sandy beach slopes gently to the sea and it is a perfect place for families with small children. the water is crystalclear and presents every shade of blue. natural shadow zones are rare and a parasol and sun protection should be in the beach luggage.
a very small and tiny takeaway in coca cola design offers food and drinks and is a funny component of cala cipolla. it is a must to buy something there.
the vegetation is rich and beneath maccia also a lot of trees are growing.
the parking place is a little bit far from the beach, but the path trugh the maccia is comfortable and easy to walk.
we can recomment cala cipolla very much. we had a stressless and very relaxed time there.

Cala Cipolla had the clearest and cleanest water of all beaches we visited in the Chia region. Nice sandy beach where you also have the possibility to find shelter from the sun under the trees or lie down in between the granite rocks on the side. No umbrellas for rent or other facilities but there is a truck selling refreshments. Go early, as it will get crowded. Worthwhile is a walk up the hill on the West of the beach, towards the lighthouse, you will be rewarded with wonderful panoramas!

One of our favorite beaches in the world. Silky white sand, blue, blue seas and tucked away in a sheltered little location. Accessed via a dirt track which can play havoc on your car suspension unless you take in very slowly and with limited parking, unfortunately it's not quite hidden away well enough to prevent hordes of visitors in peak season when it gets extremely busy, but come outside peak weeks and you'll be delighted with this gorgeous little cove

located near Capo Spartivento, you'll have to park auto into a huge area (6 €/day); during July and August it's a very crowded area. Get there at 8:00 and leave before 11:00 if you want peace.A nearby lake with white flamingos.

The beach is not so well furnished but it has two bars with cool areas. The sea is fantastic Caribbean blue and the water is very clean. The landscape is also fantastic, just avoid going on top of the sand dunes as it's unlawfully sanctioned from 1k to 3k euros for good reasons.
There are shady spots under some trees near the beach if you arrive early

We followed the road to the car park for the bigger beach - it looked nice but something told me to carry on driving. The road turned into a rough sand-compacted track (quite wide, and very flat) so I did hesitate at first.
Best decision I made! We found this little cove, with an amazing beach. Gorgeous blue waters and lots of nice scenery.
There is also a place to get food, and hire umbrella and sun loungers if you really need them.
A very safe beach, great for kids and loved by the locals. Hidden nicely away.
Try it!

Buongiorno, leggo in alcune recensioni che é possibile affittare ombrellone e lettini al piccolo chiosco. É vero? Io vorrei andarci domani...li affittano anche a settembre? Qual'è il costo giornaliero? Grazie!
