You should take the whole family. It is magical at Christmas time. Also in the summer the butterfly exhibit is terrific. Lots of things for kids to interact with nature.

My most recent visit to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden was in December for the annual "GardenFest of Lights." Every year we are absolutely awestruck by the creativity, meticulous attention to detail and wonderful little "surprises" amid the larger landscape of glorious, magical illumination. But the...More

Super colors of blossoms and very enjoyable for the whole family. Kids can run, draw and learn about nature. We visited the butterfly exhibit and the childrens area plus the library.

There were not a lot of flowers blooming when we visited, but there were still many beautiful roses. The water fixtures are beautiful. There seemed to be a nice area for kids to play.

It was almost 90 when we visited. There are plenty of shady areas and benche to sit on. And the buildings are all air conditioned.
