Fantastic place to shop and eat, restaurants for every taste and all kinds of shops. Clothing shops, new and second hand. Two bicycle shops. Plenty of places to browse or shop!

While on vacation we went to Carytown, walked the neighborhood went into shops, ate ice cream to cool us down in the 90 degree weather. Lots of restaurants to choose, depending what your in the mood for, very nice area!

Looking for something different to eat while in the Richmond area? Come to carytown andpark at one end of the Street and walk. You'll find Burger Bach, Mexican, Greek, Italian, cupcakes all within a 5 min walk plus there's may more retaurants to see

This area is approximately 4-5 blocks, easy enough to walk up and down both sides. Filled with trendy shopping, second hand stores, boutiques and lots of great places to find a bite to eat.

Carytown is coming along way from the small mom-and-pop shop to a few chains here and there I prefer a little more substantial chains but I do like the mix of Mom and Pops.

We were not impressed. Many vacant shops. Not much variety. Parking is poor/hard to find. Overmarket ‘antiques;’ we found none.

The answers provided are correct. I don't think any restaraunts allow dogs in. But, some shops will allow them. I know there is a dog pet treat shop that you and your dog can shop at.

Many of the shops keep their own, non-standard hours. I am sure you can check online for a specific shop. But, if that isn't an option, I would stick to 10-5 for M-S and on Sunday, 12-5. For example, Ten Thousand... More

Carytown is a busy place but not impossible for parking. It just looks that way. Try Cary Court next to Can Can Restaurant or street parking on Cary Street and side streets.There is mid-block parking behind some Cary Street... More
