Shopping district came highly recommended and were disappointed in both quality and uniqueness of stores. Found other neighborhoods much more interesting.

Plenty of shopping from high end to the end value shop. Good eateries and endless cocktail options. Easy strolls up and down Cary St and Close to the Museum of Fine Arts.

Great little village area to spend a few hours shopping and dining! So far have tried Galaxy Diner (best diner food I've ever eaten!), East Coast Provisions (very good) and Pink Belle Cake House (rich delicious cupcakes)... and found some adorable gifts at Creme de...More

A very interesting place for shopping and restaurants. A lot of different choices. Traffic is horrible.

Carytown has just about something for everyone. There are many restaurants, shops, and a vintage movie theater. There is street and off street parking. Many vintage shops and even a chocolate shop.

This shopping street has some fun vintage and resale shops, with a sprinkling of great gift stores. We were impressed with the restaurant variety. Stores closed fairly early.

Food, fun and funkie. Many shops - new & old favorites. All kinds of food options. Inexpensive movie theater at the Byrd. Near the fabulous Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Only major drawback is parking, but only because the area is so popular.

The answers provided are correct. I don't think any restaraunts allow dogs in. But, some shops will allow them. I know there is a dog pet treat shop that you and your dog can shop at.
