Inside the white, columned state capitol building, designed by Thomas Jefferson to resemble a first-century Roman temple in France, is the only sculpture of George Washington produced in his lifetime.

State capital building is very cool but we enjoyed the grounds just as much. There is a large green space that surrounds the capital with walking paths and benches. There are also some great memorials on the ground.
