If you love Tiffany stained glass, this is a must. The windows are amazing! Very historical church is open all the time. Don't be afraid to walk in.

The church was lovely, the man in the Visitor's Centre couldn't have been more helpful, and Ray was an excellent interpreter who also knew about my forebear and possible relatives.

This review is solely based on the exterior of the church. There is a fee to get inside and we didn't have time but did want to explore the grounds. As you've already read, this is the spot Patrick Henry gave his famous "give me...More

This is a Must See for history buffs and kids learning history. Paid for a tour and it was well worth the money. Our kids would like to come back in the summer to see the reenactment of the Live Free or Die speech.

Stand in the same place as Patrick Henry, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. They all spoke here that day. An extraordinary experience. Wonderful guided tour. Incredibly interesting and inspirational.

St. John's Church is still very much like it was in colonial times when Patrick Henry gave his emotional plea for freedom. Our guide was excellent and passionate about his subject matter. The old cemetery with authentic tombstones surrounds the church building. Several notables are...More

We did not have the opportunity to go inside the church, but the grounds are worth a stroll for those who enjoy looking through the lens of history through cemetery markers. Edgar Allan Poe's mother is buried here.
