This theatre complex is just majestic. The main theatre is very comfortabble, with ample restrooms and amenities. Concessions are easy to access. The only area for improvement is parking --- can there ever be enough parking? A stop at la Grotta, on the corner of 6th and Broad Street makes for a totally divine cultural experience!

The Grand Tier (middle section of the theater) is dreadful. Pricing is often the same as Orchestra seats and my mom, sister, and family could not see. It is inadequately raked and impossible to see. To say it was a bad viewing experience would be incorrect because at times you could only see the person in front of you.

By whatever name you use - The Mosque, Richmond's Landmark Theater, Altria Theater - it's a venue you must see. A grand old palace with great lines of sight and acoustics. The Book of Mormon last night? Not so much. I'm no prude or religious nut, but aside from good acting, singing and set design, there's really not much bust-a-gut... More

We purchased tickets to see Dancing with the Stars on tour. Our seats were on the 2nd level -- we couldn't see more than 10% of the stage. We were in the back row of our section so we stood up the entire time in order to see anything. For the price of tickets, every seat in the place should... More

With friends we went to see Joe Bonamossa at this Theatre We had to sit in different seats as we bought tickets at different times. My husband and I sat on the first tier which is the perfect place to sit as its closer to the stage, covering the last third of the orchestra below. Joe was fantastic and would love... More

Man, there is something about an old fashioned theater with a balcony, chandeliers, and lots of velvet! A wonderful throwback theater with a great marquee, old fashioned seating and a plush atmosphere. We saw one of the best blues guitarists alive today and the seating was perfect although it may have been a little TOO close to the stage because... More

I took my granddaughters to see the DWTS tour. It was our first time there and we were very excited! It was a nice theatre with good seats everywhere. What was especially nice was there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Parking was just across the seat and a bargain at $10. We'll go there again and... More

We've seen a few shows here. We bought the balcony tickets, which back in the day (and today now that I think of it!) were for poor people, so they packed them in up there. If you are 5 feet tall, you might be comfortable. The first show we went to we had to leave early because my husband is... More

I have attended many attractions... The Richmond Symphony concerts performing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in 1978, the ballet, special feature appearances. I saw KD Lang and Tony Bennett, in the winter of Feb 27, 2003! I have attended The Richmond Concert Pops quarterly concerts, a performing group since 1981! Long ago the hall was touted as the largest indoor theater... More

I've been to several plays at this venue. The lobby and theater are beautiful. Seats are relatively small and aisles are narrow. There are definitely "bad" seats, as I have had quite a few. There is a parking garage directly beside the theater, very easy to get to and the walk from the garage is short. There are quite a... More
