This is a must visit for anyone travelling to Umbria. These folks know about wine, and Francesco brings his years of experience and knowlege into producing what is in my opinon, the finest Sagrantino anywhere. The are many great Sagrantino vitners in this area of Italy of course, but none quite match what Francesco produces. This is a family run... More

Their Sagrantino is the "real thing" - all organic, nothing but excellent wine - mouth-filling flavors, deep red color, notes of dark red fruit, prunes, bramble berry, and spice. Francesco and Maila are the sweetest people you could meet. Their warm hospitality and charming winery is the treasure of Montefalco. While you are there, ask Maila about the books she's... More

Francesco and Maila have this charming vineyard - family owned by generations. Their Sagrantino is some of the best offered around Montefalco. And their olive oil is light, fruity and delicate.

A lot of thought and tender care goes into the wines of Francesco Botti and his lovely wife. So it is no wonder that the Montefalco Rosso Secco is the best red wine we have tried in all our travels through Umbria. Thank you for being such great hosts for a memorable wine tasting.

While traveling through the umbria wine area of montefalco, Italy, we happened upon a lovely small winery and olive oil producer. Colle del Saraceno was a nice change from some of the larger producers in the area. We arrived at an off hour on a Monday afternoon and were most pleasantly greeted by Maia who brought us in and sat... More

This is a small family run winery near Montefalco. Mila is a great host and the wine is delicious. The olive oil is also very good. A pleasant change from the large wineries in Montefalco.

Once you get here you are greeted by a kind couple who own the winery. They are very sweet and knowledgable of wine making. They really make you feel at home, brining you bread and fresh sopersada to eat while explaining the wine. The history of this family is very cool and the wine making goes back for generations. Their... More

We visited this winery in 2006 and again October 2012. The wine is excellent and the owners are absolutely wonderful hosts. They offer Sangratino DOCG and Rosso and the dissertation wine made from Sangratino grapes and also a wonderful white. Their olive oil is unfiltered and very good. We liked the wine so much we had a case shipped to... More
