Walked the grounds near the visitors center, then we took the driving tour. Rangers in the visitors center were friendly, as usual. The exhibit and movie were very helpful. Not much to see in the grounds, but lovely to walk. The driving tour was long...More

The Visitors Center has a 45 min movie that does a good job explaining the 2 battles that occurred in the Manassas area during the Civil War. Nice exhibits of artifacts too. Be sure to walk at least some of the trails. Stand where the...More

The field is long and really not much to see, be very careful walking around on the grass, is not even and lots of potholes whiting the grass, not good for a person with weak ankles. Do not go an a hot day it becomes...More

This is a wonderful outdoor walk through history, best done in the fall or spring, as it can get very warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Wear shoes that are comfortable because there is a lot of walking and read about the...More

Site of two battles during the Civil War, the battlefield is an excellent site to learn more about that period. Stop and watch the video at Henry Hill House. I recommend a ranger tour if you have the time. Easy walking. Great place to walk...More

Stopped here with my sons on way back from NC. Recommend watching the video at Henry Hill House and then doing the tour that the Ranger gives. It was so hot we did not stay long. I would definitely go back and spend the day....More

There is a good film dipicting the events leading up to, during and after the two battles at this site. The park covers several hundred acres.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly pleased. I loved being able to connect some of the history to my home state. We had a very good tour guide, but I was disappointed that the guides historical references weren't always tied to...More

This first major battle site of the civil war is very historically significant. The site is very well maintained and cared for by NPS. The visitor center is well designed with a great in depth film.

On the way from the airport, we diverted to the Battlefield. It was a bit overwhelming. The Visitor Center is typical of the National Parks with a good movie. The highlight was a tour of the battlefield led by a very informative young man. From...More
