The museum in itself isn't that great or pretty. However, their collection and the history of the building is nice. Unfortunately, the majority of the museum is only in Portugese and only few things are in English. However, the €1.60 was definitely worth it.

The most run down, damp un welcoming museum we have ever been inside A lot of the artifacts are in a very poor state..but this is what we mostly encountered in Portugal.

Enjoyed a quick visit to museum, lovely views. Limited English explanations, but was enough to get the feel of the place.

The museum is in two parts. The town museum and sea bed finds were interesting but the real star is the museum to the resistance against fascism. It is all too easy to forget that large parts of Europe were still in Fascist government well...More
