Fantastic views from the bridge into the gorge below. Best views are in spring run off! At that point the water really crashes through the gorge.

One of the prettiest rivers in Vermont best viewed along Old River Road from Woodstock to Quechee Gorge or up stream from the highway 12 bridge in Woodstock. Fall color along the river is great.

Runs right by the town and has miles of walking on a dirt road on one side and is picturesque and lovely for a long stroll.

This river is pretty shallow in most spots and there are restaurants that you can stop at along the way to walk down to the river and dip your feet in. The kids absolutely love it and it is very scenic for the adults

Very scenic area - peaceful, tranquil river, green foliage, covered bridges, people fishing, swimming & sunbathing. Clean.

The location of the traveler asking the question has nothing to do with the Ottaquechee River
