This is a huge natural park in the Sierras of the Cadiz district. Acros de la Frontera is well worth a visit and is said to rival Rhonda. A climb up to the castle tower in Zahara is also worth the effort for the vistas...More

Weather was perfect and few hosts on the trail. And, it is a challenging but rewarding hike. You can here beautiful and hanging echoes as you go down. The vultures flying over head are majestic.

With limited time and one in our party unable to walk very far, we couldn't really get into all of the hiking a rock-climbing that the park has to offer, but we did spend a day driving from Jerez up and over the mountains to...More

A walk to an abandoned reservoir dam and descent into a lost world. The first part is easy the second difficult. The El Pantano de Montejaque and the Cueva de El Hundidero are an abandoned reservoir and linked cave system just outside Montejaque. The Cueva...More

The Parque Natural de la Sierra de Grazalema, the first natural park in Andalucía, was opened in 1984. I first encountered its scenic beauty when I travelled on the Algeciras to Ronda train. I was so captivated by the beautiful countryside of that region that,...More
