This should be on everyone top 5 list of places to go in Atlanta. Esp with kids. The IMAX is great, the outdoor area is fantastic, the indoor natures center is one of the best places to visit when the weather is bad. And the ever changing exhibits are so well done and educational too.

Went to Fernbank with my son, daughter-in-law & granddaughter, age 3. We had a wonderful time watching her play in the the water play area. She had a ball! The gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

We were unsure about this museum because we hadn't seen much info on it. Trust me, it should be the first place you visit. The museum is fun and informative for all ages and was definitely the best surprise of our trip! Make sure you walk around on the trails outside too!

When i first arrived i thought the museum itself would be larger. There really weren't many exhibits open, and if there was more than one on each floor then they were on the small size. A lot of them were very dark so it was hard to see some of the animals on display. The best part of this museum... More

Located in a really nice part of East Atlanta, Fernbank's is one of our favorite family trips. Admission is a bit pricey, and I recommend the memberships if you plan on heading back. The museum itself is large, open, and beautiful. There are hands on science exhibits for children and children at heart, an exhibit on culture diversity, rocks/minerals, Georgia... More

Nice museum and great nature walk. If you walk the trails ,make sure you wear tennis shoes. I kept getting mulch stuck on my sandals.

Well first off I would recommend if you go during the week, expect schools on field trips. Not a bad thing, but made the small museum feel a bit crowded. However, when the classes moved on, it made for some great photographs of the exhibits. The special exhibit during our visit was the storms exhibit.
