Nice green spot in the middle of the concrete jungle. Lots of people taking strolls, laying out, and taking it in. Lots of diversity of black, white, Asian, Latino, gay, and straight... the whole shebang.

Didn't get to see all of the park but liked the parts that I saw. Parking was not so easy to find. I parked at a restaurant nearby.

Piedmont Park is to Atlanta, what Central Park is to New York (where I have also lived). It is a great place to hang out, ride a bike, walk, etc. They also have wonderful festivals, concerts and other activities that make it fun for everyone.

A great place to just enjoy the day relaxing or perfect for outdoor events such as concerts or local events. The trees are beautiful and the grass is lush, q little bit of the country in the city.

Though there are many options in this vast and beautiful park, my favorite part of the park was waterside - mainly because it was as far from the noise of the public pool as possible...and gave a beautiful view of the gazebo from the over...More

The Belt line is your best bet. You are able to rent bikes from Ponce City Market and also enjoy great food, fun, and shopping.

No you would need to drive from what I remember. Beautiful place. The aquarium is awesome. Also for the aquarium park in the left across the street for like $5.
