We enjoyed walking around Piedmont Park for an hour or so on an April afternoon. Families with strollers, runners, couples--you name it, and they were all enjoying the sights and scenes in the park. And best of all, this attraction is free!

Back in the 70's it was the perfect cruising spot. It was much fun to ride around and see what myriad of characters were lurking about.

This park is in the heart of Midtown and is beautiful. If you find yourself in Atlanta I'd highly recommend you take a visit. If you are into running, this is a great spot for it.

The public swimming pool is wonderful for families and adults. The lifeguards are professional and friendly. When it's too hot to enjoy the free activities in the park, you can spend very little and have access to a resort-like atmosphere.

This is a great park that is in close proximity to CNN and Coca-cola tours. I spent a few hours walking around on a gorgeous day after my conference was finished.

I went to the Park Tavern in Piedmont Park on a very hot day. Even though hot sat outside with the ceiling fans and enjoyed the food and view. I would be sure to try the tater tots and fondue.

One of the best parks in atlanta. Too big. Great place for a picnic. Play, walk or go for jogging. I am sure you will love this place. Entry is free.

This place used to to be a wonderful refuge to commune with nature and enjoy the skyline. In the last decade the place has become over run with homeless (a sad problem that has taken over major cities with temperate climates). I simply do not...More

The Belt line is your best bet. You are able to rent bikes from Ponce City Market and also enjoy great food, fun, and shopping.

No you would need to drive from what I remember. Beautiful place. The aquarium is awesome. Also for the aquarium park in the left across the street for like $5.
