Visited on a Friday night to see a performance of Much Ado About Nothing. The cast was exceptional - accomplished, seasoned, bright, and humorous. The meal selections were decent, about what one would expect in a bar/tavern environment. For those who have not been to this theater, there are three seating sections - two on the floor-level and a balcony.... More

Loved the Shakespeare play, wonderful theater company and cast. Went with a group of teenagers and they loved it too. Casual atmosphere is great.

I've been here twice, once with a large group of friends for a birthday and again last week with my teenage daughter (to see The Taming of the Shrew). The playhouse/tavern truly is a gem hidden off of Peachtree Street, and the acting company is amazing - currently performing THREE plays in repertory (Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado and Shrew).... More

We drove to Atlanta from Valdsota for opening night of "Much Ado About Nothing". We arrived early to pick up our balcnony seat tickets; balcony is 'first come' seating. When we entered the thratre, we were pleasantly suprised to see that there really was not a bad seat in the house. We chose our seats and then went to the... More

This is a pub that hosts Shakespeare plays. We saw Timon of Athens. It was a tremendous show. While we did not order food, many people were and it did look delicious.

The performance will be more memorable than the meal. But, when you arrive early for your meal, you get a better seat and time to just unwind and open up for the evening to come. The Shakespearean English can be a challenge in the early going. But, you will be helped out by a cast that throws itself into the... More

The Shakespeare Tavern is a gym. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, you see the charm. The actors are talented and perform with passion. This place has been there for years and never fails to do an amazing job with all performances. Have a treat in the kitchen. They have a great selection of dark... More

We watched a delightful production of A Christmas Carol at the tavern shortly before Christmas 2013. Although the necessity of parking across the street can be cumbersome (you have to cross a busy street to get to the theatre), the food and beer available inside makes it more than worth your while. We enjoyed every minute, even from our perch... More

Went with a group of friends to see A Christmas Carol. Several actors came by to speak with us before the performance. My husband and I had the pastie. It was lightly seasoned ground beef covered with a soggy pastry shell. No veggies, no salad. Disappointing. The play, however, was lovely. The actors could all sing WELL in harmony, and some... More

Lovely venue, quite different from other theatres, and a really friendly atmosphere . A Christmas Carol was excellent and the whole cast worked so hard , lovely singing, quality acting . Lovely to see Scrooge in the foyer afterwards and be able to congratulate him in person too! Only disappointment was the food, lukewarm tea, no potato salad, sandwiches not... More
