We try to see all the presidential libraries as we travel. We both respect President Jimmy Carter & wanted to see his library. He actual library is off limits but the Carter Center houses his mementoes from his life. Some say he wasn't a good...More

The Carter Center is a tribute to it's namesake, President Jimmy Carter. They have several different exhibits & tours available, all are very interesting! They also have beautifully manicured grounds, that would be perfect for a picnic or stroll.

This is the 8th Presidential Library we have visited. Regardless of your politics, you should visit every one of the 13 libraries/museums that our now open. This was probably the prettiest as far as the grounds. However, the visit inspired me to learn and appreciate...More

We visited the carter center and truly enjoyed the visit. The setting is exactly reflective of the man himself, set in a peaceful garden with lots of trees and reflective of the tranquillity of the mission. Loved it and would donate to it.

Please try and visit this uplifting special working complex. It is very large with a separate theater, dinning area, museum, and research facility, among other things. The setting just couldn't be more lovely with rolling hills, landscaped parking areas, quiet ambience for a thriving center...More

The new exhibit about the many diseases around the world the Carter Center focuses upon is particularly interesting.

Do not miss the Carter Center. It is part of our American history. Enjoyed every part of it. I had forgotten that Mrs. Carter had been so active.

I've never been to a presidential library and didn't know what to expect. The work of the Carter Center is impressive. It's likely President Carter has accomplished much more after he left the White House then while he was president. There's little to see in...More

Very disappointing experience. Little interactive opportunities unlike many similar destinations. Save your time for Atlanta's many other tourism options.

Any downtown or midtown hotel is 5-10 minutes away from 10 am to 3pm. Don't drive anywhere before 10am of after 3pm. Rush hour traffic last 4 hours and is terrible. Best values for hotels are off of I-85 near Claimont... More
