We absolutely love live music, but have no interest in watching on a big screen at a mega-venue for $300/seat. Variety Playhouse has been a favorite for years - even before they completed their spot-on, complete update and renovation of the space. Best of all,...More

Variety Playhouse is a great medium-sized venue with good seating and good acoustics. They also have a great drink selection and some basic food choices. If you arrive early there is parking available for a fee behind Variety.

Variety Playhouse is an excellent place to see a bands performance. The sound is very good and a crowd capacity of 1000 to 1500 I would say. It is an old theater converted to a show place. A standing pit in front of the stage...More

Parking (for fee) behind theater...park elsewhere so you do not get stuck in after show traffic. Use a parking app to reserve a space. Center seats on both levels are cushioned/mounted to floor; side sections are folding chairs. There are bathrooms and bar on second...More

Good concert hall. I was surprised to see seating for us older folk!!!! Comfortable seating at that!!!! There really isn't a bad seat in the house. For those that like to be up by the stage, there is plenty of room for that. The seating...More

We saw Echo and the Bunnymen at the newly renovated Variety Playhouse...they did such a great job! Nice clean bathrooms, and a wonderful bar area with a good view of the stage. Sound was pretty good too!

I don't see it being a problem if it was a all ages show . Like others have stated they do serve alcohol but it also is a non smoking building if that helps.
