There are some great walks to be had in and around Lanjaron. But best of all for me were the people. It's not a place where everyone speaks English but everyone was so friendly and helpful. Last point, there are some great places to eat.

The Balneario offers a range of spa treatments, which I didn't try. Instead I tried some of the famous spa waters. You go to reception, ask for a beaker for €1, then you go to a woman at a fountain in the foyer and she fills it for you, first from one spout, con gas, for digestion, then a second,... More

The facility is definitely worn and dated, but i was treated well and efficiently. I stopped in to see what this mineral wáter was like and was surprised to find i would be soaking in what looked like a tub full of rust....lol! I was advise to soak in this particular water due to the fact that my body has... More

this may have been impressive in its day (1930's i would guess) but it is past its sell by date. The whole place could do with a face lift , it feels like something from the soviet block not a luxury spa - they try to make out that the waters have magical healing properties and it does feel quite... Disappointing place really. Lot of hype on the website but very dated and grubby when you go there. Very expensive. Staff seem to be bored to death and totally indifferent to their clients. Treated a bit like a geriatric daycare unit. Much better spa facilities and less than half of the price at a local hotel in Lanjaron

I had the "Care for your back" package which was good value at €65. I turned up on spec and they fitted me in straight away, which was good. This place is not what most people from the UK would expect a spa to be - it is more 'clinical' than pampering - but the treatment was really good. None... More

THE Spa itself is very clinical. The way the staff is treating you is unfriendly. Hospitality has to be lerarend. Only the massage was good. The quality is low for Thatcher price. If you want à good bath go to the Hammam in Granada.

From my point of view, it was a bad experience. Regarding the hotel, it is not a 4* hotel: low quality in food, poor range of products, cheap decoration, bad and old towels, no details... People was nice with us and everything was clean, these are my only positive points. Regarding Balneario Lanjarón, please consider it is not a spa,... More

a very popular spa that attracts many Spanish for it's healing waters. the staff are very courteous and speak good English. we had an hours haman treatment which gave us the luxury of our own spa with small shallow pool, steam room and hot and cold plunge pools. an experience!
