Had been recommended to visit Guadix specifically to see the cave dwellings. It’s easy to drive to the area but we walked up the hill, past the cathedral and the fort taking a few photo opportunities along the way. The first information centre was closed...More

Did not expect much, but to find ourselves in a district of Guadix created from "cave house" was fascinating. Best place to go was the museum where the lady in charge, in perfect English, was full of explanations and answers for our questions and the...More

Dream come true experience 😊😊 Charming cave house with all mod cons with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. All the locals were unbelievably welcoming and friendly.

We saw on tele people who were making a B&B from a cave, never expected that people actually lived in these houses... You can still see it here in Gaudix!

I personally loved it. Stunning views and very surrealistic experience. It seams that we moved to a land of hobbits for a moment. Also recommend to everyone museum of the cave dwelling (museo de casa cueva). All interactive features are also in English.

Casa Cuevas la Tal is a very unpleasant hotel! Bad smell and damp beds! There might be better but do not trust Booking.com!

Walk up from the town to this strange, hobbit-like land of white caves - you can get a simple good meal at Bar La Perla and rent caves to stay from Airbnb too - a great experience
