If you're a flatlander or beach dweller, you'll be feeling the altitude during this doable hike up the hill. Elevation is 8545 ft. Take water with you - and enjoy the view!

The watchtower is closed, but you can gaze in through the windows, and turn around for the spectacular view. It's a bit steep going uphill to the point, but take it easy and you'll be good.

This is the highest point in The Park and a lookout for fires in the area. Bring your wide-angle camera and be prepared for altitude sickness by drinking lots of water and moving slowly. Really a spectacular spot for a birds-eye view.

This was hands down my favorite spot on our trip. The views are breath taking. If you visit anywhere near this area you have to see this point. Its just amazing.

This is a steep hike up but well worth the work. When it is clear you have the most magnificent views of Cortez and Shiprock. Also on the lookout tower is a map showing all the fire locations.

It's very easy to access from the main park road and worth spending 15 minutes looking around. The path from the parking lot to the fire lookout is not long, and as I witnessed, it's accessible by motorized wheelchair.

Great stop along the road into the park. Plenty of parking, so don't need to grab first spot you see. Short, inclined walk to watch tower at peak. It is over 8,000' elevation so take water with you. There are benches to rest or enjoy...More

Short stop but great view and picture taking opportunity! Might take a jacket as winds blow. Camera is a must and you will enjoy the pictures the rest of your life!

On a clear day you can see well over 100 miles. The fire tower is here and you'll see why the location is excellent. This and the ranger guided tour of the Balcony House were the two most awesome things we did here.

My wife and I enjoyed being able to view the surroundings from such a high vantage point. We could View 4 states from this overlook. And so we're able to gain great perspective from this specific location
