Be sure to take a drive out to the Cap de Sant Antonio for incredible views of Javea and the mediterranean sea, and take a walk down to Els Molins, the windmills over Javea.

The main route from Javea is a rock and loose stone path which is very demanding in places.... You should have good walking boots or footwear to suit the terrain... We also used walking poles which were very useful in the downhill return. Take water...More

Lots of walks to explore on Montgo, not suitable for people with mobility problems. Views from the top are great but make sure you carry lots of water. Need strong shoes or good trainers for the terrain. Also caves to explore.

Well worth a drive up / park and explore. Or if your more adventurous you can walk it via different routes from either the Javea side or start your trek from Jesus de pobre. Hot in the summer months, take plenty of liquid.

A great way to spend a day enjoying the fresh air and views. Dress appropriately wear lots of sunblock and sunglasses. Make sure you bring along water and a nice picnic. It really is a day to remember 😊

The walk up Montgo is well worth it, as the views from the summit are fantastic. The path is well signposted and not too difficult. For those not wishing to climb there is a flat circular walk at the base of Montgo.

We came here a day after the fires (arson attack) and the place was still lovely hint of fire smell when the wind blew and worried it was going to start again after homes had to be evacuated but it didn't spoil our weeks break...More

We are coming to Javea in June, do you think it'd be 'safe' to climb the mountain then, or too hot?
