Every seat is a great one!
Feb 2020 • Family
We go to the MAYO a few times a year. Every performance was good and the seats are all great. Only have a problem getting out after the performance if the artist/group is set up to sell merchandise in the lobby or upstairs - then it creates a bottleneck especially on the right side (facing the back of the theater).

Celtic Angels and other shows
Mar 2020 • Friends
We go to Mayo 2 or 3 times a year and have always enjoyed the shows. They have a large selection of shows to choose from during the year so there is something that should please everyone. The theater is comfortable with good sound system especially for an older building. Parking is convenient especially if have dinner before a show, you can park next door. There are public lots not far from the theater as well as other lots from which there are shuttles.

The last show we saw was Celtic Angels. It was entertaining with 5 women singers with beautiful voices. There was a wonderful fiddle player as well as 5 extradordinary male dancers. Celtic angels similar to Celtic Woman with maybe singing more recent Irish songs intetmixed with some traditional ballads.

There was one odd issue is that for a few seconds bright lights from the stage would shine directly into the audience making it difficult to see.

Mayo is higher recommended.

Free movie night!
Feb 2020 • Friends
Mayo has free movie nights when they run a popular movie on the big screen. They sell popcorn and soft drinks and you would never know you aren’t paying for your seat - the staff and volunteers treat you the same! Park for free in the municipal lot off South Street just a few blocks away. I saw Harriet with my friends recently and Jaws last summer.

Air supply and pac
Mar 2020 • Friends
What an easy access, attractive performance facility. Absolutely civilized and organized. Room for about 1500, it's "intimate," good acoustics, great viewing from every seat, easy stairs. We came to attend an Air Supply concert, sat in the balcony in back rows without feeling we needed oxygen masks or guide dogs. (lyrics to Air Supply's mushy songs in hand) we enjoyed great visibility anda plus! No vertigo. A very good time was had by all in the loud, happy, age diverse audience.
We came early to make a day of it since we live an houraway from morristown
We made quick stop at the Morris Museum (with intermissionsto sing airdupplysongs.) Quaint and small, it's doable in less than an hour and a half - especially hands on for children. Lovely doll, train, and musical exhibits. Ridiculously inexpensive.
The town is pleasant, chock full of shops and eateries. We couldn't walk around since the weather was bitter and no way were we masquerading as ice cubes to go window shopping. We came early so found street parking near the theater and pavesi, the Italian byob restaurant where we had reservations. Nice meal, GREAT service, and onto the PAC.
Great fun day in a lovely town and venue to be proud of and revisit.

Excellent Sound System
Feb 2020
We were here twice recently - to see Gladys Knight in November 2019 and to see Charlie Musslewhite and Elvin Bishop in February 2020. Both times, the sound system was excellent. And whether is was a full band (GK), or a trio (CM and EB and band member) or an acoustic single opening act (James Maddock fo CM and EB), they were all dialed in to perfection, no matter where you sat. Hats off to the engineer! Another thing is that they had a Meet and Greet area set up for CM and EB, which was really great to be able to meet these Blues legends. The seats are reasonable comfortable and the restrooms are clean.

Nice for a show
Dec 2019 • Friends
Saw a show here over Christmas. The theater has a nice “old timey” vibe. Expect it to be chilly and drafty inside. Overall a nice way to spend an evening.

Great venue for shows!
Dec 2019 • Couples
I brought my grandchildren here to see show. They have many reasonably priced children’s shows. Beautiful theatre with very helpful staff. It’s best to arrive early and go out to eat before show as parking can be problematic. Morristown has many excellent restaurants near theater.
