We were very glad we saw this and visited before going to Rushmore. The center has a lot of information on the sculptor and the project that you wouldn't get at the memorial itself.

You must go here before visiting the Mt. Rushmore memorial. Learning all the history of Borglum and how the memorial came to pass is amazing and will make you appreciate the hard work and dedication that it took build the memorial.
