We took the time to stop and enjoy the quietness of the peaceful surrounding area. There was a pier where one could go out and watch the fish jump, and take in the beauty of the surrounding environment.

Beautiful small lake just minutes from Rushmore. Paved path with areas to sit as well as restrooms. Nice easy walk to stretch you legs or a nice area for an impromptu lunch.

This was a quick stop by visit on our way to see the night presentation at Mount Rushmore. Being in late September, it was quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. There were no restrooms but an easy short walk around the lake.

there is a parking place on the road right behind Mt Rushmore. They have steps that lead down to the lake and a trail sidewalk trail that goes around the lake. Beautifl for taking pictures

The only nearby showers I know about are in the hotels/motels serving the Mt. Rushmore/Keystone SD area. You would need a fishing license from the South Dakota Game Fish & Parks (see their website for an online application).
