Killing time before the dreaded motorway trip home. A lovely seaside place to visit for a couple of hours. No amusement arcades and few shops on the front but the town looked busy enough. The pier was nice and the whole place looked in good...More

Penarth pier and beach is a lovely place for a quick stroll, although it gets a bit windy. It's very nicely decorated, and is surrounded by nice views and cafes.

Called at the cafe on the Pier, disappointed about the poor selection of cakes and sandwiches. No service, collect your own at the counter. Manned by volunteer, she said the normal staff on the sick. No management input!

Nice little sea front with an impressive pier. Great views across to Flatholm and Steepholm islands. Great for an hours fresh air and stroll. It has a beach too but the sea comes right in at high tide.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Pier we were able to take our dog along it was bright, cheerful colourful & welcoming. They were also filming but they were completely unobtrusive and there were no restrictions.

Beautiful pier, interestingly there are plaques all down the side of the pier from well wishers and remembrances. Lovely olde sweet shoppe too.

I visited Penarth Pier Pavilion on Sunday morning to see the art exhibition showing in the main space during August 2017. Although I had checked the opening times carefully on the Pavilion website, I found the exhibition was closed for an hour on Sunday morning...More
