We walked up and stood looking at Marin and both bridges. This time of year you can find days sunny and clear. We were in tshirts and warm. Not always the case, bring both sunscreen and a jacket for if the fog rolls in, immediately...More

Once you completed the very curvy road, you reach mount Tamalpais peak. The view is breathtaking! I would recommend to take the circle way around the peak. Easy for anybody to walk and enjoy the view from all sides of the mountain. Don't go on...More

I spend a lot of time hiking and biking on Mt. Tam. There is so much to do, incredibly variety, and extraordinary views. Super accessible by car, bike, foot, and bus.

I camped here as a Boy Scout, which made it great to visit it again as an adult. Thankfully, little has changed in all these decades. Where else can you get ocean views on one side and Bay Area views on the other? Spend the...More

What a gorgeous place. The views are amazing. We just drove through and took it all in. I am sure the hiking is amazing, there were trails everywhere.

We didn't have time to hike Mt. Tam's many trails but the view from up there is absolutely worth the drive. From its peak you can see the city and the ocean.

Gorgeous gem of a park in the middle of the city. Beware of the poison oak along the trail. Well maintained trails. Some are Easier than others.

This Park has lots of hiking trails of different lengths and difficulties, all well-maintained and clearly marked. Lots of stunning views when the fog permits.

I love Mt Tam! There is so much to see there. You can get lost in the woods, stroll among giant redwoods, camp with a large group, dine at the top of the world, or even see a great musical in an outdoor theater (summer...More

No, it was on the Cataract Trail. The road to Bolinas is also very scenic, and I encourage exploring that too. I was fortunate to go at a time when we were having record rainfall.

Or you could drive up to the "back end" by the Mountain View Inn and park for free. Great sunrises from there as well.
