We stopped by on a Friday morning. They only do tours on appointment, but we were able to have a wine tasting. Valerie explained us the history and the wines, which were excellent. Bought a couple of bottles and enjoyed our time there.

Our group of 8 really enjoyed our visit to Carmel Winery and the bottles of Sauvignon Blanc with dinner last night. Valerie was very informative explaining the interesting history of the winery. Many thanks!

We enjoyed the discussion and education about Israel wine history. Excellent wine and atmosphere. The small community near by was wonderful, great coffee shops and restaurants.

The best part is the story of how Baron Rothschild helped to make the wine industry successful in Israel. The tour is short with most areas being off limits. Of course, there is the tasting.

The visit includes an interesting tour off the winery's 120 years old wine cellars, as well as tasting Carmel's large selection of wines.

Well worth booking a trip around the winery and some wine tasting. Leaving there a little merry a walk around the town with some strong coffee is what is needed!

They are open Sunday through 1/2 day Friday. I agree with the previous answer, if you are buying a few bottles of wine, then usually they remove the cost of the wine tasting but not of the tour
