We had admittance to this art museum with our museum admittance. we loved looking at all the pictures over the two floors. The staff were lovely and there were clean toilets.

Wonderful way to learn about the Greenlandic history. Great and interesting displays. Spent about an hour, well worth it.

Popped in for a visit after the Town museum as the ticket covered both. Not usually an art fan, but the collection was very interesting with paintings from the beginning of the settlement and up to date photos showing the change in development. Definitely worth...More

We enjoyed two hours here looking at the impressive collection of Emanuel Petersen paintings of the Arctic. The curator shared his knowledge of the paintings and was very happy to answer our questions about life in Greenland. There is also a good library of books...More

for such a small museum and town the curator is passionate and will really make you feel welcome. they have special showings upstairs. OVerall it is quaint and really is a great building too

Emanuel Petersen came to Greenland from Denmark by a coincidence. He had worked as a theater decorator and as a marine painter at the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory. He fell in love with (understandably) Greenland, it's nature, the people and the light. All of this...More

For a small town the art gallery was a surprisingly good exhibition. Set on 2 floors there was an interesting collection of scrimshaw on the first floor.

Some nice pix of local area painted by an apparently Danish article. Admission is free if you also go to town museum. Nice break from hiking and icebergs.
