We took a boat trip for the day, travelling from Ilulissat and return. Whilst it is a reasonably long day out, it was well worth it. We travelled past a vast range of glaciers and varying landscapes to eventually pull up within 1km of the...More

Takes about 2 - 3 hours to reach Eqi Glacier from Ilulissat but is worth the wait. We spent about 2 hours in front of the glacier as it constantly calved. Glacier face is about 2.5km in width and over 200m in height. Great trip...More

This is where those icebergs are created. It is a 20 minute walk from town, but worth the hike. You can also take a taxi then walk.

A full-day excursion from Ilulissat, the Eqip Sermia calving glacier is a magnificent site which is difficult to get the scale of as the boat needs to remain about 1 km away from the glacier. The clear air makes objects seem closer than they are....More

Took 6 hours on the boat in total and two hours just watching it to calve, it was nice but have seen enough icebergs and glaciers in the first day, not really surprised because I can see it everywhere in Greenland.

Noisy and continually calving this place is a must see on your trip to Greenland. The experience is something really special.

The walk grom the lodge to the Moraine is a perfect half day hike Not too strenuous, about 3 hours total walk and you get close to the calving glacier and enjoy both tbe view and the sounds of this glacier.

The boat trip out to see the glacier was through amazing scenery. Lots of icebergs, and beautiful views. Then, we saw the glacier calve several times - the noise of the ice falling into the sea, and the creaking of the glacier was like none...More

This was an all-day boat trip from Ilulissat to the glacier. Not to miss if you are there. We saw amazing iceberg after iceberg, and two whales. Booked with World of Greenland.
