If your hungry, go to Cavaleiros! Hotels and restaurants line this beach and all the locals hang out along with tourist and foreign workers. It is buy on the weekends that's for sure, but a must do.

I love walking by the cavaleiros beach during the day to people watch and to enjoy a nice view of the ocean. During the night the place packs with locals who pick a restaurant to enjoy.

An extensive beach in the heart of Macae. There are a few hotels and a few restaurants, but overall the beach is mainly residential and quiet.

It is note the bluest ocean, and its not so easy to refresh because the waves break to close to the sand. But anyway, is the place where people get together, and on the shore of this beach the best restaurants in town are located.

This is a beautiful beach with great walkways for those who like to walk and enjoy the spectacular views. There are many restaurants along the beach front that I chose to visit during the daylight hours.

Plenty of wind to kite surf, sun enough for those that want to lay by the waves. Usually there are night volleyball or soccer trainings and plenty of people biking, skateboarding, roller blading, surfing...etc. The water is a bit rough and color is mostly grey.
