Beautiful but tough to get too

Wonderful beach but it takes awhile to get there by car. Mosquitos are horrible but the sand, water and view are great.

We couldn't enjoy it because it was such a bad tide and high that there isn't any dry sand to stay and also a lot of insects. So don't forget repellent. Despite that I guess in a "normal" days it's very nice place.

Our only experience with bugs during a month in various locations in Brazil was at this beach. Those of us who didn't slather up with repellant and spent time on the sand were bitten multiple times by sand fleas. The bites took two weeks to heal and, in some cases, became VERY swollen.

It's a nice small beach, the way up there is not so good due to the bad not finished road through forrest (maybe 5 km). The beach looks natural, there are not too many tourists. Parking is available only couple of minutes away from the beach for good price. The offer on food, drinks could be better.

The last beach (North side) you can reach by car. The sea is calm and you can rent standup boards or caiaki (R$ 20,00/30min).

This is another great place for beach lovers, the water is warm, you'll see white and black sand, beautiful rocks around that will make great pictures.

Horrible! Even with repellent the mosquitos attacked us. We spent 10min there. There are much better beaches with less borrachudos

Take a Citronela repelent and watch your legs. ("Citronela" should be the main ingredient in your repelent spray or creme) It helps but not 100% - be ready to itching. But this beach is worth it!

This is a wonderful isolated beach on the north of ilhabela. To reach it you need to travel through a dirt road for 8 km. It's worth the trip because the water is very clean and clear. There are no places to eat. Careful with the bugs! Make sure to take lots of repellent. LOTS OF REPELLENT!

Thank Italo S
