Jump off the rock

Was taken out to Cathedral Cove on a boat, we swam in the water and had fun jumping off the rock, went to see the Snapper fish as this is a NO FISHING ZONE.

We stayed at Purangi Gardens and stumbled on to Cathedral Cove Macadamias on the way home. Warm greeting from the lovely Simon who gave us samples of their various goods. Lots to buy and all top quality. What a find

What a little gem of a place! We had a quick tour of the macadaemia orchard and then got to sample some of the many products they make. The oil and the honey I can totally recommend. Also the ice cream! A must stop.

We spent about 30mins at this pretty little farm. The owner spent the time explaining how the harvest and processing is done, as well as offer us tastings of the various macadamia products. Only a 10 min detour from Hahei, on the way to Cook's beach. Worth a stop.

In an out of the way place, up a gravel road, we found nut heaven!! Terrific hostess, terrific products, plenty of knowledge and assistance as we tasted our way around the products on offer. The place is really clean, well presented and had numerous offerings of macadamia nuts but also other condiments and tasty items to eat and purchase. All... More

We were happy to find this place. It's a bit off the main road, and some of the drive is on unsealed road, but it's a nice spot. Up a narrow driveway, you'll find the shop across from a parking area and picnic table. We were met by Simon, who really enjoyed our enthusiasm about seeing macadamia nut trees. He... More

We love Macadamis so after a visit down the road to the reserve which by the way is worth the look. Great views over Cooks Beach. Up a reasonably long driveway came to a little side stall next to a packing shed. An assortment of products were displayed. Oils crumbs chocolates and natural Macadamias. Prices were I thought a little... More

Just a small macadamia farm with a sense of humor. Individual socks hung on the trees in the orchard are the ones you've lost in the wash. Nice of them to hang them up for you. Just a bit of humor to go along with the nut-cracking demonstration, orchard walk and food sampling. We went home with four different dry... More

Had a spare hour, but the they were doing the road and took a long time to get there. So hopefully by February that should be all finished. The orchard was nice but a little overgrown and needed some care. The shop was still open but as expected with macadamias everything was expensive, but liked that they had paleo cereal.
