Before I begin my review, I should state that my wife and I were traveling kid-less, and we were looking for a scenic walk, preferably with scenic beaches. We weren't particularly "blown-away" by this spot, although in general it's quite pleasant. We had also just returned from Piha / Kerikeri so I think we were a bit spoiled. Positives: 1.... More

Our first visit and what an awesome rural gem only about 30 mins drive from Auckland City. Firstly, we weren't sure what to expect and were blown away by the authenticity of a New Zealand farm without the whistles and bells of commercialism. A good range of farm animals in different enclosures and with good walking paths - sheep, cows,... More

Had a great morning here with my son who is fascinated with farm animals. You could go in to paddocks with the animals and there was a great range on animals there. Also a beautiful place to walk, around the farm and the foreshore. Highly recommend this as an alternative to more commercialised tourist attractions.

Dear Madam/Sir, RE: Ambury Park in Auckland region has natural vegetation rich in flora and fauna. This Park is a stable for all kinds of farm animals such as cattle, sheep and hen. The sheer beauty of the long trees and the sight of cattle grazing leaves a lasting impression. Thank you

a good day out with the kids is always guaranteed at ambury. see all the farm animals up close (sheep, rabbits, cows, pigs, chickens, turkey, peacock, goats and horses) there's also access to the beach to go looking for crabs and other critters. it's good to get out, go for a walk and enjoy the fresh air and even better it's FREE!!!

We walked out to the little resting site. It was pouring and we got soaked. We were not prepared but it's so peaceful out there. Sheep are everywhere. You can see a few different kinds of birds.

The title was totally what it meant - to just walk in and wander within the park. You'll be greeted with great scenic of the sea and volanco, sheeps, cows and chickens. Best part of it? It's free and parking is so easy! Didn't manage to witness the cow milking because we arrived later in the day. Will definitely recommend... More

In the mid position between Auckland City centre and Auckland Airport, this Council Park is also a farm, operational farm in small scale with sheep (and shearing function), pig, cow (and milking facility), and horses paddock. This park also has functions as a caravan park and playground for children, bird watching and walking tracks. Not a very spectacular park, but... More
