We were really pleased with our experience with this company. They cost a little more than the others but when a third person didn't show up for our flight they still let us go and it was well worth the money. The staff who helped us were all attentive and the pilot was very personable and kind. You have to... More

Highlight of the trip! We had beautiful blue skies the whole time. Kitted up in the shop- all gear provided. Short flight up with views of the glacier. We landed then did a hike over the glacier ice with crampons on. Was expecting a smoothed out ice path so no one could fall but we walked up and down a... More

As a business I can only give this 1 star. I had a flight booked for Xmas day, I will admit this was booked online through a reseller (last minute), somehow the booking was allowed to be made, money was taken and I received email confirmation. When I showed up, the chap who served me told me he had never... More

We turned up to check-in unsure if all four of us would be able to go on the helicopter to see the Fox Glacier and Mount Cook as one of our party had a broken ankle. We were assured that everything that could be done to get all of us on the helicopter would be done but were also warned... More

Great experience, seeing the glacier, landing on the ice, lots of memorable pictures and explanations from the pilot. Great. Slightly over 1000 NZD for a family of 4 with 2 kids 13 and 14. The confirmation of the booking the day before was a bit of a pain as we had to call for 15 minutes on an overseas phone... More

Squeezing more people into a helicopter to make more money on a scenic flight is lousy! Forget about this company when you want to take pictures and really see something! On a middle seat you cannot take pictures and with 2 in a front seat it gets difficult to handle a bigger camera. There are so many better options to... More

Hi there, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your flight. Unfortunately we can’t tell a customer that we cannot give them a flight today simply because another customer has a camera and wants a window seat. We try to ensure everyone can enjoy the flight to its full extent. The helicopters are designed for 6 passengers.... More

We had originally booked the heli-hike, but Mother Nature had other plans for us. The day of our original booking, we were completely rained out...such is life in a rainforest. Helicopter Line was able to book us on a scenic flight the following day (weather permitting); the heli-hike for the following day was all booked, so we couldn't reschedule. Fortunately,... More

With a recent incident in the area I was a bit hesitant about the heli hike we had booked. The guys and girls at Helicopter Line were great though. The pilots were in constant contact relaying weather reports to the ground crew and I felt much better knowing that safety was absolutely the basis for all decisions. Our heli hike... More

We got a cracking day weather wise to go up and land on the glacier, with a steady pilot. Coming up through the low level fog we burst in to brilliant sunshine and set down on the glacier, whereby my friend decided a snow angel was the best thing to do! Quite surprising that the ice pack moves 1-4m per... More
