This home won't be for everyone, but it is a well-restored home on a quiet street in a lovely neighborhood. I was not as familiar with the significance of Sidney Lanier, but I knew that there were two lakes and many schools named after him....More

Both my sister and I had our bridesmaids luncheons here when we got married. One in 2001 and the other in 2011. Very great staff and beautiful house!

We visited and was given the tour. Very short but very informative. Wish the upstairs was redone to be opened for the tour.

If you don't know Lanier's history, this is not much of a visit1 Turns out he was basically just born in the house. Interesting antiques, small gift shop, but not a place to go out of your way to.

I was here for a family wedding last weekend. It's an excellent venue for a wedding or private party. All of the wedding party had an excellent time. Living in somewhat nearby South Carolina, I'd recommend spring or fall use of this location.

A real good example of a cottage in Georgia. Not a Mansion but a great home to see how things were in the past.

I have visited this structure many times. It is a wonderful venue for a private social event as well as a fine location to learn some history.
