We were there in the off season so the staffing was minimal but, so was the crowd. The ranger was very helpful as was the on-duty volunteer. They were very helpful in helping us make the most of our visit as this time of year, weather can be a limiting factor.

Nice switchback & good road up. Visitors Center has anything you need. Above it is Hurricane Hill Ridge, best views of the entire park. Worth the hike up. Loved Sunrise Pt./Heather Meadows wildlife all around.

Having only three days to explore this region, we wanted to make sure we visited the highligts. The ranger told us where to go, and what areas were closed either due to early snow or trail rstorations. We left with lots of maps, guides, and an accurate idea of how wee should spend our time on the Olympic peninsula.

Hurricane Ridge is a must-see and this Visitor Center is part of the park. There is a gift shop and ample seating and sitting places both inside and out. Summer tours are great. Could easily spend a hour in here learning the history, snacking or shopping.

While the road was open, the views were totally obscured by fog. The ranger in the visitor's center was very helpful and gave us many suggestions on what to do instead. If you are there, take the time to experience the short loop trail in the forest - stunningly beautiful.

Olympic National Park was a must-see for us. Hurricane Ridge had gorgeous views and nice easy hiking trails. We saw deer and rabbits along the trail. We also went to Kalaloch Beach for a picnic along the beach (which was very quiet and not tourist-y) and did a simple hike through the Quinalt Rain Forest. Olympic is a very neat... More

I love doing this trail. It's only a half mile but offers a decline and incline and it's pretty. Just a great thing to do on any old day. The visitors center is also very nice. The staff are helpful.

Knowledgable staff, very helpful and willing to direct you in the Park. Very interesting displays, and very nice bookstore with good maps of the Park.

Park is easy to access and drive up to Hurricane Ridge is easy and ends with a nice hike around the ridge. It was snowing when we went but being from Minnesota that is nothing to worry about on a routine hike. Scenery more then made up for lousy weather conditions.
