Well it was busy, a bit hard to find a parking spot. Although once in Wow was it the best time, we all enjoyed, even the food was good! Wonderful day and we learned a lot about the animals in the park!!

The Hogle Zoo is a great place to visit with small children. The overall size of the zoo is not so immense that it takes forever to get around to see everything. It is laid out in regions so you can target animals you want to see like the African animals, the Asian Highlands, etc. There is plenty to do... More

It seems like the remodeling of the zoo has actually made it smaller not bigger. The otter exhibit was pretty amazing and it was nice to walk in and see the giraffes. It's just not worth $12 to go to.

For one thing, I think the habitats could've been a lot more spacious and look more authentic. There's just a large patch of dirt for the animals to live in. Considering the size of some of these animals, the living area seemed to be equivalent to living in your bathroom. I can understand the weather in Utah might not permit... More

Not a huge zoo, so manageable to visit in 2-3 hours. The carousel and train ride are favorites. Good variety of animals, educational exhibits. Zoo lights at Christmas time are beautiful, too.

We haven't been to Hogle Zoo for about 10 years and it was definitely time! There have been major renovations done on nearly every part of the zoo. Most animals are easier to see now with big windows and lots of viewing space at the animals' enclosures. There is at least one new area that houses a sea lion and... More

I've always enjoyed going to the zoo but it's getting to be so crowded that it's losing its appeal. The animals can be tough to see with so many people blocking the views. For small kids this could be fun but close by there are so many great things to do and see and half the crowds. Check out the... More

If you live in the area and have small kids that enjoy the zoo, it is definitely worth getting a pass. We go several times per year, and my kids always have a great time. The exhibits are nice and the zoo is kept clean. The staff and volunteers are friendly and seem to genuinely care about the animals and... More

Had a good time wandering the animal enclosures with my camera. Not too crowded. Some animals were not visible but what can you do in February? I was surprised by the number of creatures which were present and in view to photograph. Had a snack in the "Beastro" it was what one would expect for food in a zoo. All... More
