We went for the glass exhibit that was showing at the garden, but ended up enjoying a stroll through the snow-covered grounds as well. Quite a lot of unique species are featured. There are separate sections of the garden for herbs, medicinal plants, roses, "year-round," etc. The Orangerie is a beautiful indoor space used for special events.

Not only is Red Butte Gardens a wonderful place to walk and enjoy the beautiful grounds and ponds, but during summer a fantastic smallish outdoor venue for popular music groups in all genres. Bring your blanket/chair, picnic basket, favorite beverage and listen to the likes of Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt or the Lumineers with the Wasatch as the backdrop.

Just love this gardens. The trails are mostly easy and if you want a workout, hit the dirt trails above the paved areas for a little more aggressive walk. Nice views. I just wish they had more signage. Some plants I want to know the names but they are not marked.

It was a very nice place, a lot of flowers and plants. Quite relaxing atmosphere, also just beside the natural history museum.

Red Butte Gardens is one of the best concert venues in Salt Lake! Also nice to enjoy the gardens with a picnic lunch during daytime hours.

We spent a week at Utah National Parks and were headed home via the Salt Lake City airport. We wanted a low key activity to move around before boarding our plane. We are thrilled that we chose to visit Red Butte Garden. Entry was a little spendy at $16 per person but you can buy memberships if you plan to... More

The Gardens are a great place to go with kids or adults. Beautiful, very informative, good activities - including Yoga classes in the summer which are fabulous. There is a great variety to see and they have a nice if pricey gift shop.
