For more than 50 years, Clark Planetarium, formerly known as Hansen Planetarium, has been Salt Lake’s go-to destination for visitors of all ages who want to discover and learn about space and science. We engage audiences inside our walls and across the State of Utah in the creative process that is science through educational outreach, hands-on exhibits, on-site programming and our IMAX and dome theatres.

We mentor a refugee family and for the oldest boy's birthday we celebrated at the Clark Planetarium. Many of the exhibits are like electronic games, but there may be a wait time before your child gets his turn. Much to learn about outer space and...More

This is one of my favorite places. Very entertaining for kids, teens, and adults. There is a lot of hands-on stuff to do, most activities are free. Our family loves to visit and we always have fun.

The planetarium offers more than just a view of the stars. Despite the fact that many of the exhibits were not functioning, there was enough to keep the kiddos involved. The only costs involved the IMAX which we missed out on and gift shop. Good...More

We were a little disappointed in the planetarium. The exhibits are mostly interactive but not really that interesting. Several are directed at young people and are video-type experiences. There are several examples of meteorite's that were good. The IMAX is great. They have showings of...More

Me and my adult kids spent a leisurely 1.5 hours wandering through the exhibits. They were interactive and interesting, and FREE. There is a fee for the movie which we decided not to do, although I'd consider it next time I'm in town.
