This choir is awesome. I'm not LDS/mormon, so I saw them in concert with Andy Hammerstein as part of family history convention. The building only highlights their beautiful sound. Worth seeing!

Even during practice, choir members are serious musicians. Attention to detail, perfect pitch, high standards and love of music set the choir completely apart. They love what they are doing and it shows.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform. They truly do perform greatly and with precision. They are a sight to see and hear in action. Wonderful music.

I was in SLC for the Memorial Day weekend. On Sunday morning I attended the "Music and the Spoken Word" live broadcast at the Tabernacle. I was there early and when the doors opened at 8:30 AM, I found a seat in the upper level....More

Attended the choir on Sunday morning(9:30am) of Memorial Day weekend. The music was all patriotic and indescribably beautiful . The acoustics are phenomenal . Get there an hour early or the tour busses take all the seats. I would plan a vacation around this event!

Visited Mormon Tabernacle Choir during a recent work-related trip. Gorgeous music; great acoustics in the Tabernacle.

We attended on a Sunday morning. We just walked in and there was plenty of seats.I found the sound a bit disappointing to be honest.360 singers didn't seem to generate much noise or feeling.

Visited them practicing at the Conference Centre. Was a bit nervous, expecting a sales pitch. As it was the venue is stunning and the acoustics amazing. The singing was outstanding. Heard the organ, but would have liked to have heard it alone and at full...More

We went to hear the Tabernacle Choir free concert Sunday morning. What a treat. This would cost $100+++ anywhere else.

They practice every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:30 pm. It is an open practice so you can come and go anytime during that time.
Do you know of any guided train tour from Denver to Salt Lake? If I come by train how far away is a hotel that would then be in walking distance to the Tabernacle to go to an organ or choir concert? What hotel is recommended to walk to the Tabernacle? When is the best time of year to visit?

I do not know of any guided tours from Denver to SLC. There are many places to stay in downtown Salt Lake. You might check out Airbnb as there are many of those as well around Temple Square within walking distance. There is... More
