We spent two days seeing and kayaking the Current River. We started our trip at Aker’s Ferry and got out at Round Spring, a 20-mile trip. Beautiful scenery that was filled with the sound of birds. Along the way there were many rock cliffs, caves, and sprigs.

This is a very nice place. My car was broken in that city and I had to stay there for that night. The lady helped me not only for the room to stay, but also about my car repairing and the next day they left the door open for me after 11 AM to check out. Their kindness, help and carefulness will be appreciated and remembered forever.

The waterway has beautiful turquoise water with views of herons, plovers, and other wildlife as you travel. Access to kayaks, canoes, and tubes is easy to find.

The river is gorgeous when you can view it without worrying about the young people consuming alcohol while steering the boats between people rafting and floating. The boat with Highway Patrol on the side did nothing about the alcohol drinking boaters nor did the Park Rangers.
The day is coming that there will be a serious injury or death on that river. The boaters cannot see swimmers and we witnessed a young boy nearly get hit by a boat speeding by.

Tihs is a very relaxing easy moving, clean, clear river. The cold water hits the spot on a hot day. Tube rentals and transportation are easily available. Prefer the Landing Hotel location.

Nice river to camp near and float down during the summer. Water is clear, cool and moves at a nice floating speed.

The Current river is cold but it feels so good on a hot day. My husband kayaked and I was on a tube. He says the fishing is terrible because the current is so fast moving. Swimming holes and lots of sand stops. Perfect day to float.

I prefer the upper current over the lower but its all beautiful. On the upper you will find lots of springs and caves. The water is crystal clear and very cold and refreshing on a hot summer day! Good fishing also! Definitely worth the trip!

I've traveled to many places and I've seen many natural wonders, but I would rank Current River up there with almost any of them. The clear water running through the beautiful canyons is picturesque. I love to find a quiet place on the river away from the crowds and parties and set up a gravel bar camp. I wouldn't recommend the Van Buren part of current river unless you like crowds. Some people really like that, but I'm more into being alone in nature. The small mouth fishing is great, and the river just feels like home. It never gets old.
