Don’t know what we expected but this event was AMAZING!! ‘nuff said Next day drove 20+ miles down beach to Big Shell Beach. Found lots of pretty shells. Had a good time. (4-wheel drive vehicle and tank of gas necessary) Fun, fun, fun!

The views were pretty and we found a small hiking trail through the dunes that was paved and had sitting places along the way. It was a nice trail. Went to the visitor center and saw the beach which was beautiful. Highly recommend.

First time ever I turned around to leave at about 100 yards. Why? Dense fog. It was freaky, like a Stephen King novel I watched cars just disappear. CRAZY! Our favorite beach.

An easy day trip from the city of Corpus Christi finds you in a restful natural environment that appears unspoilt by modern times. Sadly the weather conspired against us and the temperature of 28f stopped the long planned walks that day.
