Quite surprised at the location. It was in the middle of residential area. It was peaceful and very nice. Clean and very reasonable. There were birds, reptiles, turtles and even a lake area. The gardens were beautiful. They even had a butterfly we exhibit. I...More

almost nothing was blooming except the orchids because it was the wrong time of year and they just went thru a hurricane. Price for what was there was a little much but they did have some parrots, snakes and spiders that were interesting.

After reading some of the Tripadvisor reviews we weren't confident about visiting, but we had some free time and decided to give it a chance. We went with realistic expectations, considering that it was late November and just a few months after Hurricane Harvey devastated...More

While this place won't rival some of the country's great botanical gardens or zoos, it is a nice regional facility and seems to still be evolving. There appeared to still be some recovery from the 2017 hurricane, and some longer term planned improvements going on....More

Botanical Gardens doesn't quite express all this has to offer. They have many birds in cages, an orchid house, a lovely gift shop, a new butterfly garden in the works, lovely grounds to walk, wildlife and much more.

It is nice to see the rescued birds that live here. It is a modest place and nice for a good walk on a cool day.

Very little was blooming - maybe that's normal. We were attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes and left very quickly....particularly since there was nothing to see. Thank heavens it was only $8 per person.

It is worth the $8 entrance fee just to visit the magnificent orchid greenhouse, with its many hundreds of species or orchids and related flowering plants. Spectacular. The first "room" you enter after paying is the animal room, with multiple species of animals, all rescues,...More

These well-maintained botanical gardens have it all: butterfly garden, meandering paths, nature trail and water features, and exotic birds and reptiles. Bit best of all is the incredible orchid collection tucked away in an accessible greenhouse. The blooms are just gorgeous.
