Understandably off the beaten track (phones do not work) but well worth the trek. Rarely crowded and a great place to kick back and enjoy the Gulf. Bring a kite - the winds are endless.

It was a pretty long drive over a pretty long bridge, but the trip was worth it. Very beautiful sand nice breeze. Though a large crowd there was plenty of room to stretch out. Also has restrooms available.

We stopped to go in the Visitor's Center. There was a Park Ranger there outside doing demonstrations and answering questions. The bathrooms were clean, there are areas for showering, picnicking, swimming. There are a couple of observation decks to look up and down the beach.
