A beautiful beach with no commercial places in sight. Campgrounds and parking lots. I really recommend sticking to the paved roads and parking lots unless you know how to drive on sand and respect the tides. A great place to watch the sunrise and sunset.

Our regular beach trips just like any other, but today’s was special. First look was with disbelief. What is that squeamish thing moving in the beach water. Okay, the girls weren’t expecting to catch a sea horse for sure. But here it is. The pictures...More

If I had not looked up “things to do” in Corpus Christi, TX I would never have learned about this wonderful spot. No commercialized BS.. no sno cones or T-shirt shops, no over built run down hotels... just raw, splendid beach. Amazing camp sites (and...More

Even though this beach is a little farther than the others, it is totally worth it. It is almost a virgin beach. We like that it is never crowded.

Beautiful beach to visit. Came for the kite fest. So cool to see what seemed like hundreds of different kites flying on the island. Brought our dog. Nice to live in a dog friendly community. Will definitely return next year for this. Will also return...More
