The Brick Church was erected in 1736 on Well's Hill, now known as Old Blandford Church located in Petersburg, Va. The original glass windows have been replaced with gorgeous stained glass. As a resident of this area most of my life it is an interesting site that once held a service once a month and in the past Christmas services... More

Petersburg's budget problems caused the closing of Blandford Church on October 21. Apparently budget constraints have also limited their ability to get the word out, so don't make this part of your planning without checking on it.

You need to arrange the Brandford Church visit at the welcome center, just in front . It's a guided visit, but you will get many detailed information about the church and the absolutely wonderful Tiffany's stained glass.

This museum has closed to the public until further notice as of Friday October 21, 2016 due to budget cuts. It is hoped that an outside organization will take over the operations in the near future.

Wonderful and informative tour today at the church. Tragic that this museum is closing because of city funding issues.

We toured this chapel and the cemetery on a cloudy, rainy day which seemed fitting for the drive thru and visit to church. The stained glass Tiffany windows representing sourthern states was a well done touch to a historic; later stops at Appomatox only refreshed the histoic last ditch efforts of Robt E Lee.

The Blandford Church and Cemetery are a must see for anyone visiting the area. The church with it's Tiffany windows is magnificent. The cemetery is truly a historical treasure and the tour of the church is conducted by very knowledgeable local folks.

Having lived in Petersburg all of our lives, we shamefully had never visited until one year on the garden tour. So glad we did. The guide was excellant with knowledge of the history. When you pass by, you have no idea of the beautiful Tiffany windows from the outside as they have been covered to protect them. Such a valuable... More

Heard about the site while at the Crater National Park and decided to go - absolutely incredible to experience! The staff is amazing - so much passion for all of the history and telling the true stories of so many lives! A must see for anyone traveling in Virginia!

One of Petersburg's finest attractions! Awesome ancient cemetery with a wonderful church that dates to 1735! Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows are national treasures. The Progress Index paper reported that Petersburg is going to shut down it'shistorical sites due to budget reasons. Visit this soon!
