Take the tram to the top of the mountain for fantastic views. There are hiking trails and each season offers different views. Neat to take the tram up around 4pm then hike then eat in the restaurant and watch the sun set and the lights...More

I have a fear of heights but went on this tramway anyway. Wear a sweater, it gets cool at the top. Lovely gift shop and the tram operators are very informative.

The tram tour guides where very knowledgeable. The view was beautiful. The restaurant at the top of the mountain was under construction when we where there. But I have heard the food is really good (maybe next time).

I never tire of the view. This is one of the highlights when touring the area with friends. The hike at the top is so worthwhile.

Great little excursion for anyone. Awesome views and our tram "host" was knowledgeable and funny! There were people of all ages and everyone seemed to be having fun.

A beautiful day in Albuquerque deserves a hour and a half to rise above it all for some breathtaking views of nearly 360 degrees from Sandia Peak. And spend some time to walk around up there. The air's thin and it will do you good....More

Greatest view of Albuquerque, go at dusk to see the sunset and the night lights of the city. Excellent tour guide in the gondola and plenty of room to see all around the town and the mountains, well worth the price of admission!

There is no better way to see the top of a mountain, or animals that are at the top of the mountain. The ride (for the first-timer) is thrilling, and it is definitely a photo event.

This is a great ride. 10,000. ft up but the views are worth it. The was a cold and breezy day and at the top there is still plenty of snow. you could see for miles.

We went at about 5 pm. The tram was not crowded and by the time you arrive back at the base station the sun is beginning to go down and we watched it disappear from the comfort of Sandiago's grill.

Hi, we have about 5 hours in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area. Do you recommend going to the Sandia Peak Tramway, or checking out Pecos National Park? Which one is more worth to see for a first time New Mexico visitor?
