It is all torn up. I know it is for the ART, but they should get with it. It might be nice when completed, but right now it is a mess, and parking is hard.

We drove along Central Avenue to Nob Hill to go for dinner on what I understand was one of the first days of the major construction happening along Central. The drive to the restaurant in Nob Hill was straightforward but the drive home was a nightmare. Detours that were not well marked caused us to get totally lost. We spent... More

Central is revitalizing. Especially the Knob hill area, great food and drink with music. All ages can enjoy the area but be prepared to park on side street due to ridiculous construction down middle of Central for what they call Mayor Berrys Bus line. Quite a construction mess at this time.

Love this part of town. There are unique shops and restaurants, fun people watching. It is near the University and is much more colorful and fun than you can imagine. Also many vegetarian options nearby.

Downtown was under construction but able to get through during the day, traffic not bad when we were there.

This is where the historic Rt. 66 went through Albuquerque. It's becoming a kind of pedestrian mall with traffic limited to one lane. Still has a few Rt. 66 places, plus lots of second hand shops, some pretty cool, and restaurants. Worth exploring, especially if you have a car.

This is the road that was part of the original "mother road". It has now been replaced by more modern roads. You can still find some of the old nostalga places. One of which is the Route 66 diner. Decorated in the 50s sytle as you would imagine. Nice place to check out.
